Chrome cast taper-lock leg
A cast base leg built around the same taper principle, with a standard column bore. The wedge fit means the load path tightens the joint instead of working it loose.
A cast leg has to do two jobs: carry the static load and survive the chair being rocked, rolled and dropped for years. The weak point is usually the column joint. We seat the column on a tapered contact so that downward load increases the grip instead of fighting a press fit that can creep. The bore itself stays a standard size, so your gas lift and castors are off-the-shelf.
Finish is a separate decision from strength. Polished chrome and gold are decorative; the load-bearing casting underneath is the same part. If your chair is priced for volume, we will tell you honestly when a welded-tube leg gets you the same span for less than a casting.
| Model | Material | Finish | Span | Bore |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| SX-CL-CR Chrome cast | Cast aluminium | Polished chrome | ~700 mm | Standard taper |
| SX-CL-GD Gold cast | Cast aluminium | Gold / Ti-tone | ~700 mm | Standard taper |
| SX-CL-CV Curved cast | Cast aluminium | Chrome / paint | ~660 mm | Standard taper |

The same casting in a gold/titanium finish for executive and lounge seating. Finish is decorative; the locking geometry underneath is identical to the chrome version.

A lower, curved-arm casting for a softer look on task and visitor chairs. Drops onto the same gas-lift taper, so it swaps into a normal chair build.
